"The #1 Mistake Most Folks Are Making With Email Marketing -- And It's Costing Them THOUSANDS Every Month OR How YOU Can Earn Thousands More By Avoiding the Mistake!"
By Jimmy D. Brown

Today, we're going to turn passive into proactive.

We're actually going to talk about affiliate marketing today as I share with you some valuable information concerning list-building.

Let me begin today's lesson by asking you a question…

…when you promote an affiliate program who profits?

The logical answer is, both YOU and the affiliate program owner profit. You earn a commission and they earn the remaining portion of the sale. Not a bad arrangement. It's a partnership that, when done correctly, is mutually beneficial.

Except for one glaring problem that we're going to talk about today.

In almost every case, by promoting an affiliate link you LOSE YOUR LEAD.

Let me explain:

You join Affiliate Program A and you begin marketing the assigned reseller link that you were issued. You buy pay-per-click search enging rankings and you shell out your cash for solo mailings and you post a link on your website and you really promote that puppy hard.

BUT, let me ask you a couple of quick questions (this is absolutely critical, so please read this carefully)…

Question #1 Were you able to build a list?

What generally happens is you build a list, but you build that list for the affiliate program owner and NOT FOR YOUR OWN USE.

In many cases, you don't have any access at all to the names and email addresses of the folks who purchased the product through your affiliate link. All you have is a brief record of the transaction and the amount of commission you earned.

And, if you do have access to the names and email addresses of the folks who purchased, then you most likely are prohibited by your affiliate agreement to attempt to use that list to promote any other product or service. In other words, the list is useless to you.

Sure, there are LIFETIME COMMISSION paying affiliate programs out there. Meaning, as they release new products themselves they will continue to pay you a commission on purchases from customers your originally referred.

That's great, but that still doesn't give you any control over the list. It doesn't give you an options for promoting other profitable affiliate programs to your customers. It doesn't allow you to sell any product you created yourself or purchased reprint rights to.

The fortune is in having your own list that you can promote to over and over and over again. More on that in just a minute. But first, what about that second question…

Question #2 What happened to all the visitors who arrived at the website and didn't make a purchase?

You worked hard to get those visitors to your site. And you're just going to let them walk away empty-handed?

So, what is "The #1 Mistake Most Folks Are Making With Email Marketing -- And It is Costing Them THOUSANDS Every Month" >>

Simply promote an affiliate link and allow someone else to build their list and business while you LOSE out on thousands of dollars in profits because you didn't receive the MAXIMUM benefit from your efforts.

Fortunately, there is a wonderful way for you to…

1. Continue to promote your favorite affiliate program, but build YOUR OWN list to use for future sales.

2. Actually convert MORE browsers into buyers than you currently are converting.

3. Use those wasted leads (well, most of them) instead of squandering all of your promotion efforts.

If you'll indulge me just a couple of minutes, I'll share with you a powerful, 5-step system for getting the MAXIMUM benefit when you promote an affiliate program by building a lead list that you can market to over and over again.

The Five Step System For Maximum Profits When Promoting An
Affiliate Program

Step 1: Write an eCourse or a Free Report

It will all start with writing your own high-quality eCourse or free report. The key is to provide VALUABLE information (kind of like what you're receiving in THIS eCourse)

If you provide your readers with useful content in your free stuff, then you'll find that many browsers will turn into buyers. Why? Because they recognize that you know what you're talking about. They see that what you are explaining to them really works and it is understandable. Bottom line: When you help others, they help you.

Step 2: Drive traffic to your subscription form

Next, you'll want to drive traffic to the place where the prospects can obtain their copy of your report or eCourse. Whether this is a web form or an email address subscription, you want to get as many visitors to that place as possible.

Step 3: Capture email addresses

This one is done automatically. Your autoresponder will record the email address of each of those who request your report or ecourse. You should be able to login to an account control panel and view everyone in the database.

Step 4: Promote your favorite affiliate program

You will have already done this in your eCourse or free report. I just wanted to mention it again here. The entire purpose of your freebie, in addition to providing valuable content and winning the hearts of your prospects, is to convince them to make a purchase.

Make sure you carefully weave in a call to action for them to buy whatever you are promoting.

BUT, additionally, you can immediately send the lead to your affiliate program webpage by setting up an exit popup window that is linked to your affiliate link. So, the lead arrives at the affiliate page that you wanted them to arrive at anyway.

Step 5: Work the back-end

Use your list of contacts to promote other offers such as different affiliate programs, your own products you have created or reprint rights products that you have purchased.

You've got a list built now that you can promote offers to over and over. (Always give the list members a way to unsubscribe, of course)

Here's the really interesting part. You're going to love this. In testing the results of this system, here's what I've found out.

I actually have a HIGHER CONVERSION RATE of visitors into customers than merely promoting the affiliate link itself. So, I actually see an INCREASE in commissions by using this system...

...PLUS I've built a nice list of contacts I can offer other products and services to!

Many of those members of the list will buy product after product after product from me through the coming months.

All because I used affiliate marketing just a bit differently. Remember, what I mentioned earlier in the course -- EVERYTHING about what I do online is designed to build a list. Even marketing an affiliate link.

The thing you really need to do is to change your mindset about how you market via email. PROACTIVE -- that's the word I'll use.

Approach all that you do online with a simple question, "How can I use this to build a list?"

You can't do anything that is more important than build a list. And everything should be structured around adding more folks -- with their permission, of course -- to a list of some kind.

Take what you feel comfortable with in this course and apply it to your business.

To your success!
